Sales Development Representative

Full-TimeSales Rep
The Company:

Our client is a fast-growing education technology company helping secondary schools improve student wellbeing.

They partner with schools across Australia and internationally to deliver structured wellbeing programs through a digital platform that helps educators identify student needs, support wellbeing outcomes, and measure impact over time.

The business is scaling rapidly and investing heavily in its sales team, creating an opportunity for driven individuals to enter the tech sales industry and build a long-term career.

The Role:

This is an entry-level Sales Development Representative (Melbourne or Sydney) role focused on generating sales opportunities within Australian secondary schools.

You’ll be the first point of contact for schools, introducing the platform, understanding their wellbeing challenges, and booking qualified meetings for senior sales leaders to run demonstrations and trials.

No prior sales experience is required, and we’re open to career-changers with strong transferable skills.

That said, candidates who have had a short stint in sales and can demonstrate early success (for example, hitting targets or strong activity metrics) will be highly regarded.

You’ll receive structured training, clear targets, daily coaching, and exposure to senior sales leaders, with a defined pathway into Business Development or Account Executive roles.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Proactively reach out to secondary school leaders via phone, email, and campaigns
  • Start meaningful conversations, ask strong questions, and uncover school wellbeing challenges
  • Book high-quality discovery and demo meetings for the sales team
  • Conduct high-volume outbound activity and work toward clear weekly and monthly targets
  • Research schools to identify the right decision-makers and tailor outreach
  • Nurture leads over time, engaging schools at the right point in their planning cycle
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline notes
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to test messaging and improve conversion rates
  • Attend selected education or wellbeing conferences to build confidence and industry exposure
About You:

We’re open-minded on background and experience. You might be:
  • Starting your sales career with no prior sales experience
  • A career-changer with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Someone with a short stint in sales who can show early success and wants to build depth
  • A former educator, coach, or customer-facing professional moving into tech
What matters most is that you:
  • Are hungry, driven, and motivated by targets and results
  • Communicate clearly and confidently on the phone and via email
  • Are resilient, persistent, and comfortable with rejection
  • Are coachable, curious, and eager to improve
  • Want a clear career path and are willing to put in the work to earn it
  • Care about work that has a positive impact on young people’s lives
What’s On Offer:
  • Entry into a high-growth EdTech sales team
  • Structured onboarding, training, and ongoing sales coaching
  • Clear progression into Business Development / Account Executive roles
  • Hybrid working model based in Melbourne or Sydney
  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives
  • Early responsibility and exposure to senior sales leadership
  • Up to $80k base+ super + Uncapped Commission
