Lending Associate | Mortgage Broking | Career Path to Mortgage Broker

About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available to join a highly regarded and growing financial services business as a Lending Associate, working directly alongside a Director.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mortgage broking or lending support experience who wants to further develop their technical knowledge while building a long-term career in mortgage broking.

You'll receive hands-on mentoring, exposure to a diverse range of lending scenarios and the opportunity to progress into a Mortgage Broker over time.


Key Responsibilities

• Support the Director with the end-to-end loan application process.
• Prepare and manage home loan applications from initial enquiry through to settlement.
• Liaise with clients to collect supporting documentation and provide updates throughout the application process.
• Communicate with banks, lenders, solicitors and other stakeholders to progress applications.
• Research lender policy and assist with identifying suitable lending solutions.
• Assist with pricing requests and lender negotiations.
• Review financial documentation including payslips, tax returns and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate client records within mortgage broking CRM systems.
• Ensure all compliance and documentation requirements are met.
• Deliver an exceptional client experience through proactive communication and relationship management.

To be successful you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience within a mortgage brokerage or supporting Mortgage Brokers.
• Strong understanding of the residential lending process.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
• Experience working with mortgage broking CRM systems (highly regarded).
• A genuine passion for lending and a desire to build a long-term career in mortgage broking.
